Summer Circle
Packing Symposium 2021
at James Madison University, July 26-30, 2021
The annual Summer Circle Packing Symposium brings together researchers and students working on problems related to Koebe-Andreāev-Thurston-style circle packings, conformal maps, conformal tilings, and inversive geometry. The meeting is informal and is focused on fostering collaboration, making progress on current open problems, and identifying interesting new ones.
Participants have the opportunity to give flash talks on the first day of the workshop and the remainder of the workshop is comprised of relatively unstructured research collaboration. This year we are also piloting a tutorial series on special topics of interest to participants. See below for more information.
This will be an in-person event. COVID-19 details to be posted shortly.
Topics of Interest
Topics of interest for the workshop include, but are not limited to:
- Inversive distance circle packings and circle polyhedra.
- Conformal tilings.
- Algorithms for computing circle packings.
- Conformal geometry.
- Inversive geometry.
- Applications of circle packings.
Date: July 26-30, 2021.
